Elon Musk become Twitter’s largest shareholder after bought 9.2% shares of #SocialMedia
Microblogging platform shares shot up on Monday morning after filings that revealed the 9.2% stack purchase in Twitter by Richest man Elon Musk. After the purchase of 73,486,938 shares in the social media platform, Musk became the largest shareholder on Twitter. The total share costs around $2.89 billion at Friday’s closing price as per CNBC valuation.
Earlier, rumors and leaks suggested that Elon Musk might launch their own social media platform to facilitate the freedom to speak. But as per this update, it seems that after becoming the most famous person over the years on the platform, Musk is planning to take over the company.
Today on Tuesday, the Tesla CEO tweeted- “Do you want an edit button?”,
and in response to the tweet, the social media platform CEO Parag Agarwal retweeted with the statement- “The consequences of this poll will be important. Please vote carefully.”
